I feel freaked out...?

Because my brother n-law's sister that we treat as family kissed my baby on the lips.. this is not my custom but I guess hers and it has freaked me out... I told her not on the lips and now things are awkward...what to do? I mean thats gross

Hon, babies swap so much spit with anything they can slobber on that it won't even matter. What's more, they usually don't remeber a thing until they turn about 2.

Now if the kid's 8 or so, and the kiss isn't just a quick one, that's an issue for CPS... but for now, just say you're sorry, you've just never seen anybody do that before, and it scared you. Then deal with it.

Well, she should respect your boundaries from now on. She knows now, and if she violates those boundaries that you have the absolute right as her parent to create, then you need make a plan of action and consider limiting her access. I, myself, consider lip-kissing to be more than a little wierd between family members, but I know families where it is common. Give her a chance, though, to respect your boundaries. And also be sure that you have clearly articulated to her that this is not to be done anymore.

Simply explain politely and in a non-emotionally intense moment that boundaries are different in your family than in hers. It doesn't mean that anybody is bad or wrong in this situation, simply that you ask her to respect your boundaries. If she is a healthy and functional person, she shouldn't bear a grudge or be terribly offended for too long over something so small.

Don't feel bad for telling her not to do that.... it's YOUR baby and she shouldn't have kissed him on the lips! I would never do that!

it doesnt mean any thing alot of ppl do dat she probaly forget u said not on the lips tell her plz dont do dat i think its gross i think shell get it
