Because they don't want the public to hear any other views but theirs. They believe that they are elite and always right and there can be no other point of view. Quite frankly, they think that we're all a bunch of mindless idiots.

The 'media' today is conservative-biased, and is no longer the 'fourth estate' that served as America's watchdog over federal government activities and politicians' malfeasance.
Fox "News" is not "news" - it's political propaganda for the Republican party. Rush Limbaugh is a drug-infested, garbage mouthpiece spreading hatred, lies, and bigotry.
"Freedom of speech" is intended to allow citizens the right to speak out against an oppressive and tyrannical government; it was not intended to allow evil people to spread their personal toxic poison over the airwaves. As a conservative propaganda machine, inspired by the Nazis, Limbaugh allows no discourse, disagreement, or opposing viewpoints.
Hitler succeeded in persuading otherwise intelligent, decent Germans to accept his 'final solution', resulting in 6,000,000 innocent people being killed because they didn't fit Hitler's idea of the "perfect Aryan society".
Limbaugh's brainless, hateful, vile spewing will eventually let otherwise intelligent, decent Americans to become his 'ditto heads' and ultimately believe it's acceptable to abuse, degrade, torture or even kill anyone who doesn't subscribe to Limbaugh's conservative ideology. That means it will be "okay" to kill those he hates: homosexuals, non-Christians, liberals, Hispanics, the aged and the sick, welfare recipients, homeless people, street-wise drug addicts, unwed mothers, illegal immigrants, or any one else he despises.
Of course, all those Limbaugh admires and respects, those who are part of the "perfect [conservative] society" will include: prescription-drug abusers; pedophiles; conservative politicians; wife beaters; liars; cheats; corporate executives and recipients of corporate welfare; alcoholics; white collar criminals; millionaire elitists; those in the military-industrial complex; war-mongers and profiteers; and anyone else whom Limbaugh thinks is "honorable. -RKO-

jealousy. as i watch congressmen and women in washington i can't help but think of my nieces and nephews and my daughter all fighting over something rediculous. im ashamed to have to claim them as my own. conservative, liberal, democrat, republican they all need to be treated like children and we need to make sure they don't eat too much sugar. support term limits for all congress members. make both parties remember that just because one party is out of power thwey should still be working for progress rather than workingto stall everything. no place in adult world for sore losers. i get nervous when i see ted kennedy still in congress and then to hear him remark on morals. the last 6 years have been a pathetic display of adults behaving like 10 year olds.
