Your virtual memory is low because you most likely have did the required maintenance necessary to keep your PC running like it was when it was new. From control panel open internet options and:
1) delete cookies
2) delete files (check mark the box offline content)
3) clear history
click ok and close control panel then click start and go to accessories then to system tools and:
4) disk clean up
5) defragmentation
this will clean up the one time only use temporary files, compress and archive the saved files, empty your trash, clean and open up the virtual memory and also clean up and open some hard drive space as well. In addition to cleaning up the hard drive so the PC can find files quicker and easier it is looking for when trying to open/close programs which in turn will also speed up the PC to run like it did back when it was brand new.

NOTE: do NOT go into msconfig and mess with anything the way the system starts because then your overriding a Normal (safe) start which is why you have to check mark the box "don't show this again" so it will stop warning you about what you've done.
