well, red will do great because it goes well both with the tree and the holiday! but you can also try navy and yellow if you think every one else will wear red and green...!(personally i hate to dress just like everyone else...! )

Are you actually saying you have one of those white plastic flocked Christmas trees? If so, here are my recommendations:
1. Do try to wear a shirt in holiday portraits. This rule applies to both men and women.
2. Choose a color similar to the can of beer you will be holding.
3. If the tree has fiber optic lights on the tips, do not look directly into the lights for an extended period of time.
4. ALTHOUGH YOU MAY FEEL THAT A WHITE FLOCKED TREE IS A STEP UP FROM AN ALUMINUM TREE, IT IS NOT!!!!! BUY A REAL TREE OR CUT ONE DOWN WHEN YOUR NEIGHBOR IS OUT ON A BEER RUN.
These tips should ensure your most elegant holiday yet.
Enjoy.

Any of your darker colors such as red, black, hunter green, deep navy blue. But you also want to take into consideration what your hair color is, such as if you have red hair you don't want to wear a red sweater. A nice sweater to wear would be black with gold accent.

I read that no matter what color you wear, white should be next to your face, like a blouse or neckpiece. This makes you look best in any picture.

I would same Christmas colors "Green" or "Red" or both together, they go nice together. Different shades of "Green" and "Red" are cool too.

Red, Green, Blue, or even Brown, or Tan. Any of those would work and really stand out.
