First of all Kashmir is quite a big area and even in two different countries. Areas like Jammu and Ladakh are huge and have different ethnic groups each with their own cultural identity.

Still, Rouf is a traditional Kashmir dance form performed by women on certain important occasions. But if you are looking for the dance based on the sofiyiana kalam it is called the hafiz nagma.

Popular dances in Ladakh include the Khatok Chenmo, Kompa Tsum-tsak, Jabro, Chaams, Chabs-Skyan Tses, Raldi Tses, etc.
