I enjoy a little bit of both, it makes you feel good giving and receiving!

I don't "flatter" someone in the true meaning of the word, but I do like to say nice things to people that make them feel good, and I only do so when I really mean it. Likewise, if someone was sincere in something they've said to me and by which I was flattered, then I enjoy that as well. So both, but more so when I am the one doing it.

I only wish i had the talent to see a person accept being flattered the way this question was asked.To answer the question,I enjoy flattering someone.

That all depends on the person I am talking to. I prefer a compliment more so than a flattering comment.
Flattery makes me wonder what they are asking me for. Flattery seems a bit cheap and requires being a brown noser or a butt kisser.
I don't care to use flattery either. It's not cool or classy.

it makes me very uncomfortable to be flattered because i never know what to say back. do you flatter the person back even if you don't mean it just because they did? i only flatter someone else if they really deserve it, because otherwise it isn't special and it won't make them feel good. when i compliment somebody, they know i mean it.

I like to do the flattering, it makes me feel better especially when I know that the individual really needed to hear the compliment. It makes me day to make another person smile.
