Honestly: maroon.
It hasn't got much support since it's initial debut as a Crayola 16 member 30 years ago, but it has a lot of substance. Personally, I think maroon is the color of the new millennium. Blue, Pink, Purple, Red, Green, Yellow - they've all had their days... and if you ask me, have been spread pretty thin in the past few years.
The 80's gave rise to some interesting neons. They're existence was fleeting, as it should have been, but I respected their presence.
Don't even get me started on shades....
Maroon is the future. Sophisticated, edgy, stylish... it's all there, and it's on the brink of worldwide appreciation.

First I was going to say the best color is white since it shows off the rest of the colors. I think that kinda sounded stupid. So I'm gonna say all the colors are the best. The best thing about painting is mixing the colors to make the shade you want. So you need the basic colors for sure. The basic colors make all the colors anyone could ever need so that makes them all great.
On a personal note: I like turquoise, aqua, and teal

The best color is any shade of purple. It can be calm or wild, or dark or light. THis is what I think. Light blue is also a great color

Brown is the colour that no-one much likes
Brown is the colour of chocolate and pies
Brown is the colour of mud on the ground
it gets on your shoes when no path can be found
