I bought a HUGE pumpkin tonight, and it had hardly any guts and less than 1/4 cup of seeds! Such a bummer. Are they starting to make them like seedless watermelon or something?

Man has been "genetically modifying" everything from food to animals for many centuries. Genetic engineering techniques allow scientists to insert specific genes into a plant or animal without having to go through the trial-and-error process of selective breeding.
With genetic engineering, you can also cross species very easily.
