Dudes, help me understand this one. What kind of guy would be able to actually be a stripper? ........ Drunk, obnoxious women laughing at him and screaming insults at him while he's naked in their living room or in a night club ...... prancing around like a clown in a g-string, and even being male prostitutes in some cases...... maybe even getting his genitals grabbed and harmed ..... it's the ultimate male bashing event. Are they gay? Mentally ill?
I honestly can't think of any amount of money that could get me to do that. I've seen how lower income people live before. Believe me, I've seen it all, and to be totally honest, I would prefer poverty than being a stripper. Besides, a hard working man isn't going to end up at rock bottom anyway. Let's here everyone's opinion.
PS - the stripper thing in general isn't right, but it's especially screwed up when men strip.

I have friends that are male strippers. They all have one thing in common. They come from a disfunctional family. They have little or no respect for themselves. These are the best friends you could have, but they have issues with relationships and family. Probably not all of them; just my friends. They make good money, at times they have gotten a $1000 tip from a drunk gay guy. I guess the money is the biggest motivator to get someone into the dancing scene.

1. They are young and/or have taken care of themselves and have nice physiques (for the time being).
2. They need the money and don't have a job that pays them enough, so they strip.
3. Someone they trust suggested that they strip to get extra money.
4. Some believe it is a path into an acting or modeling career.
5. They are secretely exhibitionists and this is a legally and socially sanctioned way for them to bare their bodies to others. I think for some it is a definite sexual turnon.
6. They crave attention from women but don't get it the usual way from their girlfriends or wives.
7. They are gay and this is just another route into the sex trade.
8. They see it as a temporary job that virtually no one will find out about.
9. They enjoy women and see stripping in almost a non-sexual way of interacting with the female sex. (When you think of sexuality always considerer non-sexual motivations.)
10. It valiadates their masculinity -- or it does at first.
11. (And this one is very important.) They really can't find a job that makes them feel validated as men, so strip as a temporary boost to their male ego.

many drink & do much drugs to help them face the audience.
Many are gay & like to show off & exhibit themselves, they crave attention.
they need the money and they can only do it while young & fit. it needs a buff body & nice schlong to do it. guys who strip are always from the lower classes of income. Just like the women who strip, THEY NEED THE $$$
I don't agree that it's worse if guys do it. Tell me why is it worse when guys do it. ??? It's depraved & a loss of dignity & respect for either gender, don't you think.???

So it's screwed up when men strip, but not when women strip? What about a woman prancing around like a clown in a g-string, being a prostitute, getting her genitals and breasts grabbed and harmed, it's the ultimate female bashing event. Is she a lesbian? Is she mentally ill?
No, you jerk! She has a family to provide for. Just like the man probably does.

guys who can't get respectable attention from the ladies become male strippers. or they're gay, and want to show themselves off to those who can't touch them.

A man who isn't very focused. A man who likes to show *stuff*. A man who is not afraid of stage fright.

It takes a 'special' strain of effiminent male, vainly full of his own looks, with no brain, no self esteem, and no soul

Male strippers make good money, they have woman carooning after them, sticking dollars in their g-strings. They are good dancers with dancing keeping them in great shape.
Nothing wrong with it.
