Mermaids are not real creatures. Those who sailed for months saw only vast expanse of water. They were away from home for long. They missed their family.Those sailors were men.Under the circumstances it is not too difficult to imagine an ideal feminine figure with piscine features. They painted her in their imagination and felt good.

Its possible. I mean just because someone else dont think so then that doesnt mean its not real. Theres people who have said theyve seen a mermaid once in thier life. Now they might not wear shell bras or lave long hair or something but it is possible to be true,.Just because you havent seen one doesnt mean they dont exist. Same with ghosts.
