it depends on the laptop. i had an old dell that I had to hold down on the fn button and use the up and down arrow keys. look in the manual that came with it, or search on line for the specific method

If you have a look on your laptop keyboard there should be a whole heap of other symbals on some of the keys. Hold the Fn Button and the try pressing a button with a symbal of a light or sun and and arrow pointing down. Your Laptop help book will have it.

pressfn button and then continously tab brightness button..it shd increase or decrease brightness accordint to ur needs
