my fuel mix is exact to specifications on the bottle. and is mixed with fresh gas. will motor not start at all if reed valve is not present? i have a second motor i use for parts and it doesnt have a reed valve either. also the magneto seems to have a very strong magntic pull to the housing. are all magnetos like this?

magnetos are very strong magnets so yes they all do that. you should go to a parts store and get a new reed valve.

Some 2 strokes require the reed valve due to the porting arrangements.
