If Israel is allowed nuclear weapons, I see no reason why other countries should not be allowed them. The Israelis are just as crazy (if not more so) as the Iranians or North Koreans.
Iran and North Korea are insular and commit human rights abuses against their own people, the Israelis export their violence and attack foreign innocents under the guise of self defence.
North Korea and Iran both make their intentions perfectly clear, but the Israelis do not. They denied that they were developing nuclear weapons and subsequently that they held nuclear weapons.
With the US giving x billion dollars a year in weapons aid to the Israelis a year, and with North Korea not having enough money to build rockets large enough to carry their nuclear warheads to countries further than Japan, I know who I am more scared of.
And the guy above who wrote that the US developed its nuclear weaponry as a defensive measure, I'm sure the people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki would beg to differ. But I suppose American arrogance and self rewriting of history protects you from the truth.

This country developed, built and tests nuclear devices not as offensive weapons but as a defense and a reminder of the cost of life freedom requires. No other nation except for our allies have been able to demonstrate such moral convictions to own, posses but yet deny the use at whim these powerfull weapons. States like Iran and North Korea have never shown restraint, common sense, freedom or care and the fact that the previous administration allowed those countries the ability to aquire technology that would bring them to the door step as a nuclear power is as scary as they being a nuclear power. Until these rogue nations prove that they can be trusted, America should not allow such states to aquire these weapons. World War 2 cost 60 Million lives, do you really want Islamic nations to gain a weapon that starts World War 3?

The President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has already stated his wishes to wipe Israel off the map and has gone on to say the Holocaust never happened. He also threatened any country that would help Israel that includes us! Now he has missiles that could deliver a nuke to Israel that would kill millions of people. KIM Jong Il, the North Korean dictator has tested nukes and a delivery system that can deliver the bomb to western U.S. shores. He also has threatened us with military action. Countries like Japan and South Korea would have to live in constant fear of KIM JONG bombing them. He lives a life of luxury and lets his people starve (the others he simply exterminates if they don't have his views). Would you feel comfortable knowing these people had the capability to deliver a nuke?

Cockroaches and rats might rule the worldwide... it stands out as the closest to the tip of the worldwide as all of us be attentive to it. whilst the atomic bomb might devistate the section -- the Nuclear might have an prolonged lasting devistation. i think of that we (the rustic) Soviet Untion and Korea have Atomic Bombs or a minimum of ability

Gee, funny thing about that.
The U.S. is a party to the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty -- so we're NOT allowed to test our nukes.
But France, another signatory, has popped off a couple. And so has North Korea -- oh, wait, they're not members, are they.
Perhaps it would be useful for you to get your facts straight before you made such silly assertions.

Do you even know the last time we tested one? I think not. The point that you miss is testing is part of developing the weapons, and when a mad-man like the nut in Korea or Iran is doing it, then there is a grave threat out there because they will use it in an aggressive manner..

You don't let kids play with matches, do you? It's the same principal. You don't let countries, that can't figure out if they're fighting or not, play with nukes.

The main reasons we don't want other countries to have bombs is the danger that they will use them agressively and will sell them to rogue nations that will then sell them to terrorist organizations.

We haven't tested a nuke in well over twenty years. We only test the detonators.
