An 'acquired taste' refers to the idea that you may not like something the very first or second time you try it, but after awhile you become accustomed to it and eventually like it. Many people say the taste of beer is an acquired taste.

An acquired taste means someone doesn't like to eat something (this something is a food that not many people like very much) out right but after a while eat something you start to like it. People who have an aquired taste for something start off not liking it but it grows on them.

It's an acquired taste.

Means it nasty. They just say that so you can buy it.

Actually, have you ever hated something, but later on liked it? you tongue get used to the nasty tast and accepts it. That's why natives of certain countries can eat certain foods that we find disgusting.

The word "taste" here means "preference" and, while it may refer to food, its meaning is broader than that. For example, the first time you hear bagpipe music, you are sorry that you were born with ears, but if you listen a while, you realize that it is less hideous than 38 stray cats screeching at the moon. Thus bagpipe music is an acquired taste.

IT tastes like shi t but you look cool eating, drinking and ordering it so you suffer through it and learn to like it no matter how bad it tastes. Like Scotch I drank 30 year old hundred dollar a bottle and it tastes like liquid shi t but others swear by it. They have an acquired taste. Cause other wise they would hate it...
