I believe that the ratio of gay people to striaght people will most likely never change, the number of people that feel safe in "coming out" will increase as the world becomes more accepting. As far as there being more gay people, yes the population is growing which leads to more gay people. I believe the current stat is 1 out of every 10 people is gay, that means for every 9 striaght babies born the 10th will be gay.

well as the population grows so do the number of homosexuals. Also, as society becomes more accepting, more homosexuals feel comfortable about coming out.

However, I dont believe that the ratio of homosexuals to heterosexuals has changed much at all.

I think they are just a lot more visible now
also many are prepared to go halfway as it is much more socially acceptable and be bi at least for a little bit till they make up there minds

isn't it good that people can drop the fear and live happy with themselves

a life lived in fear is a life half lived.

Same amount that it's always been...people just aren't as afraid of coming out. I think people should get over it and be happy that america is losing some of the ignorance that seems to tie itself onto our shirt tails. What is really sad to me is the number of people I hear about who had to get divorced because they tried to live the lie.

I don't know. But I do know that no one should have to "be in the closet." It's is way past time that the world became humane and compassionate.

Probably more since the world we live in is slowly becoming more modern. It wasn't the same back then because it just wasn't mentioned, but today the world is a different place, and it doesnt matter what your sexual orientation is.
