i have to type a 2 page paper on an author and basically all i have to dois give my opinion on the artist and his works, so how can I (or what is a good outline)start my report? if anyone can answer this it would really help thanx!!

i generally start all of my opinion papers with a question, generally one that sums up the points that i will cover....and ensure that you will answer the question within your paper....in essence, i kind of turn my thesis statement into a question, to open up the readers' mind to my opinions.

I did an essay on the works of Poe, Twain and Henry James. I studied their biographies and compared their lives to how they wrote. In each case, the writer's childhood family life greatly affected the content and style of their writing.
Use your imagination. You get to express how you feel about something and get marks for it.

Start out with, "Imagine if..." or something that will draw the readers in.
