This requires some 'advanced' technique... I say that because you would need to START, RUN, then type REGEDIT and press enter...

You can then use the EDIT menu and FIND, then type in the name of the program you want to remove (as it appears on your list). When you locate that item, press the delete key on your keyboard. Use the F3 key to find it again in case it exists elsewhere in your registry... If you find it, delete it... Repeat this until you get to the end (you will get a message letting you know).

NOTE: Mesing with the registry can royally hose your computer, screw it up big time. Use this tip with extreme caution. If you dont feel comfortable doing these steps, consult a professional tech support person....

Best to remove programs through the Control Panel, Add/Remove.

When you remove a program, in some instances, the icon remains. This does not mean the program is still present, just the icon.

If you have removed a program through Add/Remove, just delete the icon.

You go to start, click on control panel, click on add/remove and remove any you don;t use. You can also go to start, click on search, click on files and programs type in temporary files and scroll down and type in temp. Click on the next box to find my computer click on this. All temporary files will appear. You can then go to edit at the top of you screne and select all, then go to file and click on delete. Your pc will run better if you do this . If something is gone that you want, reinstall it.
