i own a repair shop, and you have to use a scanner to do this on this new of a car,if the ecu is bad it wont get any spark, but there is a fuse for the ecu,and there is a crank fuse to check out also on it,this may be all that's wrong with it, i had one that was towed to my shop,by a towing company, and before they had pulled away from my shop i had it running,it was just a blown fuse ,so check it real good before you go and buy a new ecu ,because it may be a real simple thing to repair, other wise if all the fuses check real good on it,id have it scanned by a good mechanic ,it might be worth the fee most of them charge to check it out,and it might save you some money,on a repair bill, good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

Don't change any part till you know the problem. Get it scanned for trouble codes, not all faults turn the check engine lite on.
Not starting is not necessarily an ignition problem. could be any one of a number of sensors.

If it is not sparking why not change the coil, cap, and rotor, that should do it. If the car is displaying a check engine light then you could hook up to a tester to see what the problem is.
