If it is a house or building door, get a door closer, one of those devices at the hardware store which act to slow down the movement of the door.

It is also possible that your house or trailer is tilted, and needs to be levelled, using house jacks.

If this is your vehicle, you had better try to park on a level. If you do find yourself parking so gravity pulls at the door, all you can do is to hold it before you open it, and control the swing.

Knock out the top pen on the door hinge and put it in the drawer where the nuts bolts and other things are. You no which one , the junk drawer . Now go get a light duty closer at the hardware and put it in place of the pin you took out.Your door will always close then

It swings open because it was hung out of plumb. Short of rehanging it you could install a spring loaded hinge.
I'm assuming your talking about a standard house door.

Believe it or not, they are called "door closers," and every hardware store or home megastore should stock them. They come in all strengths from gentle shut to turbo lockdown.. Good luck
