This one girl said she was a virgin but she was also raped so she added "oh, but I'm a Secondary virgin" since she wasn't having sex before that and she didn't plan to have sex afterward until marriage.

I think loosing your virginity is a mind thing; its when at that moment you give your self as a person and not as a body to some one you love as they do the same for you... in my opinoin sex is physical and loosing your virginity means encountering for the first time in a meaningful way with someone you love..

Secondary Virginity is a fresh start for you if you've already had sex. It means, no more sex until marriage. Secondary virginity is a chance to change risky habits and heal past wounds.

Even though you cannot physically become a virgin again, sex is much more than just a physical act. It’s an attitude, a frame of mind. It’s manifested in the way you look at yourself and others.

She's a "secondary virgin" in her mind because she was raped (did not give it willingly) even though technically she is no longer a virgin.

Some people use it to kid themselves and pretend they are virgins. It's really just a person going through a period of abstinence. In her case, it's because she's experienced penetration but, she hasn't experienced sex.

in her case it means she didnt give up her virginity, it was taken from her. For others it means they have made a pact with God not to engage in any more sexual activity untill they are married.
