Okay I was thinking for my ten gallon tank get a small goldfish and a pleco then a week or so later getting two guppies. Is this to much? What would I have to keep the water temp at?

I will probably keep the water at 72 degrees because a goldfishes range is 68-72 and the guppy and pleco are 72-82

Couple things.
Goldfish need 10 gallons all to themselves. It has to do with oxygen exchange in the gills not waste management, and an airstone won't help.
They are also cold water fish.
Guppies need water around 75-80 degrees farenheit, while goldies want 50-60 degrees farenheit.
Same for the pleco. They like warm water.
So, goldfish are kept in large tanks with no other species for everyone's comfort.

This general rule of thumb applies. Total of 10 inches of fish for the whole tank. Goldfish live in unheated water. No more than 3 in a 10 gal. tank. Plecos should only be purchased after enough algae has been established, which is usually 3 weeks or more.
Buy a specific type like a Pit Bull Pleco or some other one that stays small. The ones at Wally World get up to 21". Generally tropical fish such as guppies, plecos, etc. need a water temp of 78-80. Feed the fish only once a day what can be consumed in 3-5 minutes and you will have a cleaner tank.

In my personal opinion as a former fish guy, you should not get that combination. The reason for that is the temp that the gold fish like. Everyone else in the tank will be happier at a warmer temperature. Though the goldfish can survive at a higher temp and the others can survive at a lower temp, it is only about survival at a basic level. You want your fish to THRIVE in your tank. I would look at some other fish than the goldfish. Plus, the goldfish are very dirty. They do not have stomachs, so they process the food on its way out. Further, they get very large. It is entirely a myth that fish only gorw to the size of their tank. Contrary to what anyone tells you, a pleco will NOT clean your tank for you.

Gold fish and the pleco would be good in 10 gallons... Guppies make lots of babies so they might not be such a good idea.
