Wearing a cup is recommended. Even though athletic supporters were originally made for men, they are made for women as well. Wearing a cup could save you a lot of physical pain.

A cup is designed to protect sensitive male parts on the outside of their body. Females do not have these parts so are not required to wear a cup. If you want extra protection for the game you can get wrist guards, shin guards, chest protectors, etc... but i don't even think they make a female cup.

cups are really made for men i don't want to sound sexist but men have certain body parts that women don't and those parts are pretty sensitive lol
