No unfortunately not. I use to have a Tracfone and I left them in the dust once I found that out that you can't transfer a phone from them to another service provider. I also found that Virgin Mobile Prepaid has cheaper rates. You know how you can pay up to $0.50 a minute with Tracfone, well with Virgin Mobile I pay only $0.10 a minute flat rate and I love it. Hope you find this helpful!

You cannot transfer the phone from Tracfone. The number, under FCC regulation, can be moved to a new provider, however, some prepaid providers don't attach any information to the number, preventing the porting system that handles moving numbers can't verify the owner of the number. When I was working for Cingular we had Tracfone customers come in, and I must of spent hours on the phone with them trying to get numbers ported, however, they refused to port the numbers because they claimed they owned them. Long story short I filed a complaint with the FCC but wasn't employed by Cingular long enough to find out what happened.

Hi there....

If you want to move service over to US Cellular and keep your number, you will likely need to go to a sales location to do that. If you don't need to keep your number and just want to sign up for service, you can do that online at their website.

Hope this helps!
