Your dad's employer will have rules about working a shift during a time change. The default time is to set your clock back one hour at 2:00am Sunday morning.

It changes 1 hour back, so 4:00 am becomes 3:00 am. However, the change takes place at 2:00 am

it officially changes at 2 a.m. but most people just change it before they go to bed

Just change it at midnight, so then it will go back to 11pm.
