If you really think sexual orientation is a choice, than at what point in your life did you choose to be strait? Why?

And does this mean that everyone is born bisexual, being that you can choose to be attracted to either the same or opposite gender?

Does this also mean you can choose to be attracted to blondes, brunettes, and/or redheads? I thought those were just natural, subconscious preferences.

I've always laughed when folks think it's a choice... like they could CHOOSE to fall in love with a same-sexed person.

Who would choose living a life where you are hated and talked about in the governement as being not normal??? Who would choose to live a life where many folks would just as soon see you dead? Where lots of guys on a Friday night, after a few drinks, thinks it's a fun game to beat the fag?

I think it's genetics. I never made a choice. I can choose to be celibate -- but I'm still gay.

i put this one to you what i really think
i think we are all born bisexual
and we chose to be straight gay bi etc
i say this as we all question
weather we have made the right choose to be gay
and even straight people that are truth full to them self's
will know the have had a crush on some one of the same sex
or been turn on by some one one day
those that say they don't are not being true to them selves

i see these questions on this site quite alot lately
in the two ways is is expressed
and i wonder about myself
i don't really care how i to got here or where i have been
i look at the future not the past
weather a choose to be who i am
or weather i was born this way
right now right here i am being true to my self
i know who i am yet i see many still questioning who there are
and the only way our can look at it
is what am i going to do about it
sit a sulk or be happy with who i am or could be
live life
respect others for living there life there way and move on
repect and you will get repected

WE all make a choice to love someone, sex is not the same I think we have experiences and some genes that may influence our sexual preference.

I am lesbian and have been hetrosexual. There are big differences. Loving someone and selecting them for who they are not gender, is a true choice. The qualities we love in people are what makes us fall in and out of love, not all are sexual.

Everything in life is a choice. Even if you were born with homosexual tendencies, it is still your choice to act upon them. Homosexuality has been the downfall of many powerful empires (Roman, Greek, early biblical, some Aztec and Mayan communities, etc.) it always leads to depravity. Because when we do not control our human urges, which many times are in opposition to our spiritual (The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak), we fall into rationalizing our behavior. Heterosexuals have no less of a problem, they are supposed to control their urges to act upon lust to have intimate relations before they are mature enough to realize the consequences of that act, and after the consequences mature enough to be responsible parents. Homosexuality is just as lustful, and there is nothing produced by that union, except the selfish fulfilling of the fleshly urge, no baby. God created man and woman differently for a specific purpose, and He has given us all trials to overcome, homosexuality is no more difficult than any other, yet homosexuals want simply to selfishly be excused from their trials, while others are not.

OUTSTANDING QUESTION!!!! I was always lesbian and I never understood why people thought that we chose our lifestyle. I have always asked did straights choose to be straight, so I hope you get some good questions without the homophobia. :)

They chose to be straight when they decided they didn't like what their priest was packing. They should know not everyone looks the same.

A good question.
Centurion. you and your kind are the people who are continually asking us to justify our being"Gay".
It merely shows how narrow minded and sensitive you are when you try to slap us down for asking a similar question.
If you can't stand the heat. go back to the kitchen.
