Probably not worth as much as you think. I was a workers compensation claims adjuster in Oregon. You should recieve an award for a "permanent partial disability," but it will NOT be enough to retire on, etc. You can look up the legal statutes for workers compensation in your state and it should have the guidelines for those awards. Your doctor will assess how much PPD you will have. Also, in most, if not all, states, workers compensation attorneys only get paid if they get you money, so you can consult an attorney if you think your insurance company is not handling your claim properly. I'd guess you're looking at a few thousand dollars, unless your job is something that requires very specific hand work (surgeon, etc.) Hope this helps.

enough for a nice vacation! no more than 15k I would think. I wouldnt award alot more than that.. and that might be over the limit. there are a ton of accident injury attorneys that dont get paid unless they win or get a settlement.. ask one of them. I'm sure there are other factors to consider.. whos "fault" was it would be one. What kind of negative affect it will have on you in the years to come, etc etc.
Good Luck.

Enough to retire on if you play it right. Say it was the hand to use to flip off people, especially if its your left. You can't stick you right hand out your car window and still practice safe driving.
