i hav a new 1 cuz i had 2 return the old version and it did the same thing. once u connect it it wont read and instead of itunes popping up it wont...... i know this isnt normal but i think theres somthing wrong w/ my computer.......... do u think its tha computer or the ipod nano?

If your computer can't 'see' the iPod, your iPod's battery might be completely drained. Wait for a while and leave your iPod plugged in until you see the charging icon on your iPod. If it's still not working, your USB might be broken or you might need to have to return the iPod for another replacement.

Do you have the latest version of Itunes? It's up to 7.0 so try to download it and see what happens. Also did you charge it with the computer or the power cable? Try using the power cable to charge it and then hook it up to your USB.

probaly its tha computer,wen you plug it in does tha nano turn on?
