could be a problem with out O2 sensor, the catalytic converter being clogged will run really good cold but when the car worms up it will start running sluggish and have no power when you hit the gas. might try replacing both of them.

i own a repair shop, and i do work on the Mercedes and it sounds like it has a bad temperature sensor on it,this tells the computer the engine is warm and allows it to change over to function on readings from the computer instead of the factory preset settings that it runs on when its cold, that's why it runs so good when its cold, its programmed in to the chip what it should run at, but when it warms up it depends on settings from different sensors on the engine, and if the temperature sensor is going bad it wont use the readings from the engine it will still be running on the preset ones, and it needs more that this to run right after it warms up,good luck with it,you can tell i know a little bit about Mercedes, good luck i hope this will help you.
