Because of this habit, we can't afford rehab and county funded rehab has crack users in it still using and no-one cares!!! We need help! Contacted intervention program and they never replied, all places cost 24,000.00 up front. What kind of crack addict or family has that kind of money?? HELP!

does your husband want help? my ex-husband smoked crack also, and that is the only reason i left him. he didn't want to quit, and he became a totally different person. it was a terrible situation. i feel bad for both of you. but if he wants to quit, he can do it on his own. my dad was a cocaine addict for 13 years, and when it came down to losing his wife and children, he quit on the spot. we all saw a therapist to help us learn how to deal with it. the therapist had him find hobbies. i know the state provides counseling and it will help. i understand crack is far more addictive, but if he is strong enough, he can do it. your husband just has to realize what he can lose if he continues using. i wish you all the best.

You could get in contact with an AA group and they could direct you. Forget N/A, he'll get the best hook ups there. There should be a community counseling center in your neighborhood. They could also direct you. I understand with these state or county funded places. They're over worked and under staffed. Unfortunately most places have users in them still using. But there are no other alternatives right now. No average person can afford a private facility. Most places will work on a sliding scale with you in price. Keep going though your yellow pages or on-line. You will eventually find the place that will help you and you can afford. I went through two drug addicted teens. So I definitely sympathize. I was left plenty of times with no answers and no where to turn. Don't give up, keep making those calls. Remember his recovery is up to him no matter where he ends up. If he wants to be clean he'll learn to work any program. If no one replies call them again and again until they do. Good luck to you both.

You say....."we need help" ! Do you also use ? Even if you can find a place.........he will not get off of it until he is ready....and sometimes, even when they think they're ready....they're not !!!!! He will have to "pass the point of hitting rock bottom" ! It's hard to turn your back on your loved ones,but......tough love works wonders !!!!! If you have children.......get out of that situation....a crack head does not care about anyone or anything ! The best way for him (if he truly wants help) is to first.....break all contact with his present "acquaintances".....stay away from any and all that use !!!!!!! Busy..busy...busy is what his days should be ! No time to think of that crap.......Good luck......you are definitely going to need it !

You need to be looking out for yourself. Your husband is too strung out on drugs to care. Leave him. He knows where to get help if he wants it.

You need to leave him. It sounds like he has been to re-habs and they did'nt work. Give it up and move on. Sounds tough, but it's the only life YOU get.
