something for fear he may start to cry in front of her? What advice do you have for men that are scared to cry in front of their woman?

Not to get too personal, but I have never seen my husband cry about anything other than God (and a Spike Lee documentary about 3 little girls in Birmingham) in the past 9 years. I think if he were to cry about something else, particularly by being overwhelmed with love or fear of something happening to me, I'd freak out. I wouldn't know what to do. He just never cries! :) With that said, I think any woman would actually feel honored/relieved if her boyfriend/husband felt comfortable enough to cry in front of her. Don't get me wrong, we don't want wussy girly men who cry all the time, but every now and then when something really powerful happens, crying can be an extremely cathartic and appropriate response.

If you're depressed about anything, I can tell you from experience that it does absolutely no good to keep it all bottled up inside. Trying to carry a burden on your own, even if it's to spare someone else's feelings, is simply too much for one human heart to handle. Tell your wife/girlfriend what you're upset about. Just getting it off your chest will help.

there is nothing wrong with a man crying. None at all.. men are just like everyone else. Women are very understnading at times. That why you marry someone so you share info with each other. I use to be depressed.. but it was because I was taking some sora pill.. I would go ask a doctor and talk to them. They can really help hope that helps

Crying is a natural release for strong emotions. If your wife or girlfriend really care for you, they will not think less of you for it. Depression can be a very serious problem. If he is afraid to seem less manly in front of his spouse, he should at least consult a counselor.

Hello, I believe that next time she tries to do that, you sit down and tell her that... If she breaks up with you because of that small of a thing, then she is not worth your time.. Don't tell her over text or call or she might now take you seriously.. If she truly loves you, she will listen and understand... Good Luck! -Joshuasmitherz

Go ahead and open up, I just don't understand why some men think it shows weakness if they cry. To me it shows a sense of security and love for the other person when you can bare all of your feelings.

If your woman loves you, then she won't think badly of you for crying. She will want you to feel that you can talk to her.

You should also talk to your doctor about your depression. Maybe they can hook you up with a councilor, or get you on some medication if it's serious.

Get over it *****. It is not a sign that you are weak, but a sign of no matter how tuff you are on the out side you are still human and have feelings on the inside.
