I brush every three hours, and have been to the dentist two weeks ago for my 6 month check up...(no cavities) I am 27 weeks pregnant, but my mouth taists bad. does that mean my breath stinks too? My hubby said it is fine, but is this normal in pregnancy? I hate the taist and can't get it to go away, I even bought new toothpaist and brush yesterday and no change. what the heck.........?

Mine is like that to. It's not the vitamins because no matter what I eat or drink other than water I get it. And it's still there after I brush. I didn't have this with my first 2 pregnancys so I'm not sure whats up. Probably just all the messed up hormones.
Also my first 2 pregnancys were boys and I didn't have this. And I have a feeling this one is too. I think all pregnancys are just different.

My first pregnancy was a boy and man did my breath stink to. I have no idea why, but I went into labor it was horrible. Everyone that went in there held there nose and I brushed and brushed and it didnt go away. After I had my son the next day the taste was gone and my breath was fine, weird

I know what you are talking about. This is my third pregnancy and I sufffer from that terrible taste too. I never had this with my other two. You could try different vitamins like others suggested but for a couple of weeks I could not take vitamins and the taste was still there. I have taken 3 different kinds since and it does not affect that taste at all. But who knows it may work for you. Good luck....if you find something that works please post. Wish I could help.

I totally agree with Gina!! Prenatal vitamins will leave a nasty taste in your mouth. The brand I used, which is supposed to be the best on the market was "Prenate Elite." They are coated in a sweet shell, and by the time you get that big sucker swallowed, you have only tasted the sweetness, and not the yucky inside. Congratulations on your baby boy!

It can have alot to do with what prenatal vitamin you are on, have you recently switched or has this problem been goibg on since you started taking them. I had that problem, I asked my doctor to switch my vits, I went to the orange color chewables they taste a bit like a orange.
