Hi, I've broken a rib, and bruised another different times. The broken rib hurt a lot MORE, but the bruised rib hurt LONGER. It hurts to breathe, laugh, and especially sneeze. It also depends on your pain tolerance.

for most people, yes.
It hurts to breathe deep or cough. you would probably be very incomfortable in any position. if you think you have broken a rib you should atleast go to the doctor for an x-ray.
there isn't really alot they can do for a broken rib but atleast you can get a work or school excuse.

tes and the only way to fix it is taping. Putting tape on and pulling it back starting at the center of the chest , thus pulling the rib back into place and raping all the way aroud is the only way to relieve the pian and some good pain pills..

Trust me, it hurts. They can't put a cast on it, but it hurts. Even worse if a rib punctures your lung.
