I really really want to work with animals when I get older and my teacher told me it would be best to start now but no matter where I look there is never a good volunteer oppertunities where I could work directly with animals??any ideas??

Vet's office, pet store, humane society, walk dogs for seniors, taking your pets to visit nursing home residents, dog breeders, horse riding places...

Check you local shelters. Some require that you be 18 to volunteer in the kennel area, but are very happy to have younger volunteers come in to play with an walk the dogs. We have both a Humane Society and an SPCA in our area. They both have different rules. Good luck!

Hey go on www.keelzdragonz.com. It is a rattery but my friend who runs it does some rescue stuff with ferrets and horses. She may be able to tell you something. She lives in Toledo! Good luck!!!

have you tried your local Human society I think they take volunteers call them and explain what you want and see if they can help you. Good luck I am glad you have a goal in mind!!!
