My suggestions would be the following:
Washington DC - Here you will learn about the politics of our country and much of the political and military history. There are beautiful monuments and of course, the Capitol Building and the White House!
Boston - Here you could take a few days to walk the Freedom Trail and learn about how America broke free from the British. It's an amazing city with a lot of history and culture.
New York City - Known here as the Big Apple, it is an all-American city. You'll want to make stops at Central Park, Times Square and the Empire State Building.
Orlando - Maybe spend time at Disney World, America's largest and most famous theme park. Also gives you a sense of what life is like in the southeast United States.
Chicago - A fun city that would give you a taste of the Midwest lifestyle. You'd get to see Sears Tower (our tallest building) and Lake Michigan, which is beautiful. Chicago has great museums and Michigan Ave (great shopping).
Las Vegas - Famous for being "Sin City", gambling, world famous shows and lots of lights. Typical southwest lifestyles. For this without the gambling, you might try either Phoenix or Tucson in Arizona.
San Francisco - Beautiful! The Golden Gate Bridge, the Pacific Ocean. San Fran epitomizes the west coast lifestyle.
Seattle - Also beautiful, but you can experience the Pacific Northwest...forests, mountains, water & wildlife.
This is a lot of ground to cover in two weeks...whatever you decide, I hope you have a wonderful trip!
