ok guys, I get straight A's, have natural light blonde hair and navy eyes. i don't understand why guys always prefer brunettes even if the girl is stupid! it's just beyond me.

It's not anything inherantly wrong with blondes. It is how the media portrays them.
Think Paris Hilton. What was the first thing that popped into your mind?
And Pamela Sue Anderson?
And Anna Nicole Smith?
Goldie Hawn?
Marilyn Monroe?
These are just a few of the blondes that people know best from watching TV and movies.
You can't say that any of them portray intellectual properties.

Absolutely nothing is wrong with blondes. Or brunettes or redheads, for that matter.
I don't know what the guys you are talking about are seeing or thinking, but I married a blonde and have known many that I could easily have loved.
One of my first serious female friends was a redhead.
About the only thing that comes to my mind is that there are probably a lot more brunettes than blondes and guys take what's available.
If I were your age I would probably be interested. I'm a lot older than you and my hair is now a lot thinner and what I have is gray. I sort of like it that way.

The color of someone's hair has nothing to do with their level of intelligence. That "dumb blonde" thing is just a vehicle used for telling jokes at someone else's expense. This kind of joke used to be told at particular ethnic groups, but because that has become so "politically incorrect", people now just plug in the word "blonde" instead.
Guys don't necessarily prefer brunettes. All guys are different. In fact, I saw an interesting documentary on TV several years ago about hair color where identical twin women, with very long brown hair, drank in a bar. They were both largely ignored. One woman dyed her hair blond. The next time these twin sisters went to the bar together, the blonde twin got all the attention and the brunette was largely ignored.
It seems like you just haven't met guys yet who appreciate your intelligence.

That's odd, because in my area, men tend to prefer blondes. I think the answer to your question is the general stereotype held by most men regarding blondes. Whether it is fair or not, the perception is that blondes tend to be ditzy, even outright stupid at times. That in turn can be quite the turn off to a guy. Brunettes on the other hand are viewed as more serious and intelligent.

It is something dumb that guys have adopted. It is stupid and illogical. I mean I'm a 15 year old guy and I don't think that blonds are dumb. Being a blond only is definging what color your hair is. I get straight A's too but a lot of people think I'm dumb because of how tall I am. Acutaly it was invented by girls who were jelous of blonds. Most brunets can't stand that some blonds are better looking then them... so they make up stories about them. It is really dumb of the people to think that a hair color can define how smart or dumb a person is.

This all aggravates me, you can't flat out judge someone because of their hair colour. Blondes are said to be dumb and I'm sure there are quite a few who are but many are very smart individuals. Brunettes are said to be smart and I'm sure there are quite a few who are but many can be quite dense as well. It's a hair colour, people! I hate people who are so judgemental to the point where they have to resort in judging others by a hair colour. People are obviously going to continue to judge you because of your hair colour and other ridiculous things, but you must know that you are better then the stereotype they cast you as. ;]

I am a mexican and i am really into blondes more thatn brunettes so just ignore those things about what guys say and no I dont think blondes are dumb

Okay, blondes are NOT stupid at all.... I'm a blonde, get straight A's, and am smarter then most of my friends (they are REALLY smart as well and NONE of them are blondes). Of course, some blondes are dumb, but that doesn't mean all of them are.

Blonde jokes get passed around because secretly guys prefer blondes (blonde is the rarest hair color in the world) and can't get them, so they have to put them down.
