i know he's acting in the film 'the marine', but was he a marine in real life? i've never heard JR or the King mention it, yet Michael Cole is always reminding us that Lashley is ex-forces...i seem to remember JR saying Road Dogg is a vet too. if he was a marine why do they not say it?

No, I think his father was, but not him. His good friend Randy Orton was once though until he got discharged, and there are a couple of other wrestlers who were in the armed forces, like Bobby Lashley and others. Former wrestler Perry Saturn, if I remember, was an Airborne Ranger.

no john cena wasn't a MARINE. he just respects what they do and also in his movie that is entitled "the marine"! i can see were your coming from , with the camo pants and the camo hat and his straight edge attitude towards wrestling , but its just his style!
and the salute he does is showing respect to the marines!
