I don't no about depressing...but it does have a sad undertone.

you are not the only one. Good grief! I mean, everytime you see this cartoon, no matter what "special" it happens to be, Christmas, Halloween, whatever, they are always depressed about something. You just want to shake the crap out of Charlie Brown (or give him some type of Prozac to make him get out of his depression) and kick the s'hit out of Lucy for making Charlie's life even more miserable and tell Peppermint Patty that it is alright to come out and say that she is gay. And that she is really in love with, can't remeber her name. (They actaully had them become lovers on an episode of "The Family Guy". It was very funny.) Then you have the one who plays the piano-I mean, I know you really like music, but, get out more and I think Linus is the one with the "security blanket" issues. There is nothing wrong with that, per se, but, really. To be in the grade you are in and to drag that thing all around you. You'd think he would be smart enough to cut a piece of it or have it in his locker.
Anyway, that whole show is depressing. I remember watching it when I was a little girl, and now, as an adult, I realize just how depressing everyone on that carton was.

Charlie Brown always makes me sad. Why can't people just be nice to him? I like Snoopy and Woodstock, though. They know how to have a good time.
