as i was going to a store called "circuit city", a guy approached me, and handed me a small piece of paper that read "12 days" i don't know who he was, and he wasn't giving the papers (each had different #'s) to just anyone, it was like he was choosing and my mother was there and he didn't give one to her, just me. I thought it was weird and he said it wasn't something like a band or anything like that. He just said I'll find out. Anyone know what this means? Or is this some kind of joke or prank?

No, this is not a joke or a prank.

He is telling you that the world will be coming to an end in 12 days time.

9th of November 2006 - at 10 past 1 in the afternoon (English time)

Seriously.

This planet is being blasted by the Vogon Constructor Fleet to make way for a new space by-pass.

The plans have been on display for 1,000 of your Earth years and if you can't be bothered to take in interest in local affairs you have no one to blame but yourselves.

If you are really lucky the Vogon commander may read you some poetry first.

I think he was telling you that election day is coming and if you don't vote then you missed your chance to impact the future direction of the country.

Either that or he was trying to warn you about your gf's fertile days after her period because you looked like you were using the rhythm method of birth control.
