Oh why or why could they not pull it off tonight? They were so close to breaking that record!

It's really not a big deal. You could see that it was coming. They won against the Islanders, but they were sloppy. Too many give aways and looked sluggish. It just continued on to Atlanta. Now that they have that monkey off their back, they can focus on playing hockey again and forget records.

GO SABRES GO!!!

I'd be less concerned about the record and mostly interested in how the team is playing at the end of the season. While the Lightning started and finished strong a few seasons ago, it isn't a usual occurrence. Even the Hurricanes had a mild start and got stronger as the year went on. Maybe it's my heritage (the Flyers) but I have found that most teams that start off great usually don't become the champs. But like I said there are exceptions. Good luck to your team. I'll be rooting for the Flyers to get the top lottery pick.

I don't think it is/was a big deal. It's a record I never knew existed until this year.

It was more impressive that they came behind many games for the wins. Also last night the Sabres came back 4 times to tie the game.

Most important thing is that they got a point out of the game.

All good in Buffalo.

We played one hell of a game--but in the end a former Sabre in Kozlov beat us.
Did something bad happen to You in Buffalo Joe is that why You hate it so much? or is Because Buffalo is that good of a City.

It's Karma. You tie the record by starting with two Shootouts(in the old days those games would have ended in a tie) and you fail to break the record because a shootout. Karma man Karma.

There always would have been detractors who would bring up the Shootout wins. This way, they get to share the record.

The only thing that pops my grapes is they had their chances and couldn't capitalize. Other than that it really doesn't hurt that much to be honest with you.
