hello, well i went to the dollar tree and bought a pregnancy test, i took it, but one line is dark and the other line is very light, but u can see it. should i take another test or i'm i pregnant? thanks

Usually, and line, even a light one, means there is HCG in your urine, which means you are pregnant, but there can be false positives. I know this from experience. I had a light, immediate second line on a test, then a negative HPT and a completely negative blood test the next day. This is really rare though. I would say get a better quality test tomorrow like the First Response Early Detection test and take it with first morning urine. It sounds like there is a good chance you will get another positive. You are pregnant. Any time you see a second line (faint) it means that you are pregnant. It is hard to get a false positive because the line will show if you have the extra hormone. The only thing that they day about false positives is that if the test is taken to early, you could have a miscarriage or phantom baby.

yes you are pregnant...the pregnancy tests are designed to detect a hormone that is only present when you are pregnant, so if the line is there you are pregnant, even if its faint, it just means you are not very far along and you dont have a large concentration on the pregnancy hormone yet. The chemical they put on that strip would not be able turn turn pink(however faint), if the pregnancy hormone was not present in your body...."congratulations"

sounds like you are, but take another test to make sure. If you wait a week and repeat the test, the line should be darker then you are most likely pregnant. I know it will be hard to wait a week....

faint or not, the 2 lines together usually mean positive, but you can wait a few more days and take another one just to be sure or go to your doctor and let them do it. But sometimes even THEY have to do it a couple of times to be sure. Maybe just do a blood test to be absolutely sure. GOOD LUCK!

even if one line is lighter or darker its still positive if the test lines are the same(direction wise)as the example on the box or the inscructions
when i say direction wise i mean some positive test show lines like + if positive and other shows lines like= if its positive,goodluck

It doesn't matter how dark the second line is. If it's there, you're pregnant.

try retesting in the AM. I took a Dollar Tree test with my first and it was lighter...so I retested to make sure....I now have a beautfiul daughter...good luck to you =)
