Over the past 8 years I have cosplayed exactly eight different anime characters. I admit that I commison almost all my costumes as I can't sew to save my life : )
San from Princess Mononoke (not a terribly good costume, I admit- hey, it was my first!)
Lady Une from Gundam Wing (I perfected my very useful thousand yard stare for this one)
Subaru from Tokyo Babylon (a crossplay- something I will never do again for various reasons)
Nausicaa from Nausicaa of the Valley of Winds (a great little costume- I resurrected it just this weekend for a con)
Reika from RahXephon (comfy and good for warm weather)
Rin from Blade of the Immortal (another great costume)
Kino from Kino's Journey (I love this costume and this series, though many people overlooked it when it was released)
Major Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: 2nd Gig (my first costume that was ever slightly revealing)
I plan to retire once I have a kid, which will likely be in the next 2-3 years. I want to go out with a bang and am comsidering two more great costumes: Emeraldas from the Leiji Matsumoto-verse and Red XIII from Final Fantasy 7 (I rather like the idea of a cosplay where it doens't actually matter what I personally look like).

I cosplayed hanajima from "Fruits Basket" and I found a girl cosplaying Kagura from the series. It was very funny and I loved it. Next time I want to cosplay as Kaoru from "Rurouni Kenshin"or better known as "Samurai X."

I went as Mario to this comic book convention that I went to in Los Angeles. It was really fun, plus the costume was very easy to make. I think that I want to try a costume that is more complicated, but have not decided on which character.

Whenever I'm "on patrol" or rushing to save lives and stop crime, I always tell anybody who asks that I'm just on my way to a costume party.... you should see the look on their face when I fly off...!
PS, I'm adding the date and time to all my questions and answers from now on. I'd like to encourage enverybody to do this. Perhaps if enough of us do it, the YA staff will add it as an automatic feature. It will make finding old answers to frequently asked questions a lot easier! Happy answering!
