my friend came over today, and played with it. she has a strong smell, and my bear now smells like her. she doesnt smell bad at all, but its just that it used to smell like baby powder-ish and like fresh linen, now it smells like somebody else. why do i feel like this?

no rude answers, please, thanks.

Smells subconciously bring back memories. It could be if you smell your friend's scent on Teddy, then it keeps smelling like your friend is there.

Maybe it is time to give Teddy a bath. I have an aunt that smokes and wears really strong perfume. Whenever we see her she insists on hugging me, my husband and the kids - leaving all that smell on us and our clothes. We love her, but the second we get home the clothes go in the washing machine and we call dibs on who gets to shower first.

If Teddy can't be bathed, you could try Febreeze. I think they have a fresh linen scent. That will get rid of your friend's smell and Teddy will be all yours all over again.

Okay. I have a teddy bear sense I was 4 and you can wash it right. Maybe just put it in the dryer with fabric softener. I gave my teddy to my 6 yr old. She is still mine in a way but my girl needs her more..She will always be yours just get the smell off of her. Fabreeze, dryer, there are ways ...Good luck....L
