Be extremely discreet. Start up a Trust and have the Trust accept the money. That way your name won't be involved and no one will know you were the person that won. Then, move to a place where nobody knows you. This is the only way to do it if you do not want people coming out of the woodworks asking for a handout. Most of the time, it is more of a headache than being broke. Unless you do it right. But, most people crave the attention, popularity, and they let their ego, and entourage run them into the ground until the poor sap is broke, and discovers he/she are alone and actually nobody really cared. I might sound cynical, but it's a cynical world.

What should you do or would you do? First I think you should pay off all debts, as life is better for all with that taken care of.
I would do that, take care of some things for my daughter and her family so they can relax a bit, give my Dad enough to finally not feel like he has to be so darned careful, buy a home since I am older and have always wanted one, get more education to earn a better living and there are alot of people out there that could use help and I would love to give it. I worked with my old company's charitable foundation and loved it.

Invest wisely and retire, set up college funds for my children, buy a house and a really good working vehicle, and I would travel the globe and donate to charities that help needy children around the world. There are all sorts of little things that I would do to make my families lives better too but there are too many to mention here.

Get a great attorney. Put in a change of address and move away from all your Redneck family members and release the hounds whenever someone rings the doorbell.

Renounce your citizenship before collecting. Then they can't tax you on the winnings! If you have a million you can get citizenship anywhere! And never tell a soul about it!
