Technically, a pentagram is simply a 5 pointed star drawn with 5 straight strokes. It is often seen inside a circle. It has a history going back centuries and has both good and evil associations. For instance, the Christians once used it to represent the five wounds of Christ and it is an important symbol in Freemasonry. So the pentagram itself is neither good nor evil. the meaning is more determined by it's use...but ultimately you'll have to decide for yourself.

Okay, a pentagram is neither good or evil, it depends on its' use. The pentacle (a star within a circle- one point up) is the most typically used and significant within the wiccan religion. The only use I've ever seen for the pentagram (star within a circle- two points up) is mostly people who want to look really dark and goth, will wear it on jewelry and stuff. Historically, though, it does have other meanings.

A pentagram is not an "evil" symbol. It is sign of protection, usually associated with Wiccan symbology.
A symbol itself can never be evil or do harm, only those who use it in malicious ways. Even the Swastika was a symbol of friendship at one time.

everyone just judges. so it got around that the pentagram is something they use to signify the devil and like satan worshipers. hell they even put it as a wiccan type of thing. but pretty much the only thing that i can say is its kinda neutral.. so i guess its good and evil.

It's an UPSIDE DOWN five-pointed star. It is evil. It's the sign of the devil or something like that.

isn't it a five-sided star with the points connected? I think that it would probably be "evil".
