Not really, judging by the moronic questions. I used to think that the entire site was populated by eight year olds, but given the sudden influx of daylight savings time questions I've decided to lower that to four year olds, since I learned about that in kindergarten.
However, the cool thing about the homework questions is that you can give totally wrong answers. Make them believable and the kids will use them. I sure wish I could see their shiny little faces the next day at school.

I don't answer the homework type of questions very often, but when I do I don't just give them the answer. Instead, I will give them some of the information and tell them how I found it, so they can do the same to find the rest of the information themselves. It's the only way they are going to learn. If I just give them the answer they don't learn a thing, but at least my way they learn how to do some research on their own. At least that's my hope.

Many look like homework questions and many look like questions people really want to know the answer to. I wish people would just do their own homework. I do.

If they go to the section for homework help, then yes they can do homework, but the rest is suppose to be for adults to ask questions about subjects they want to know more about.

Evidently so.
And there are people who are curious about things, but those questions are few and far between compared to lazy bums trying to get other people to do all their homework.

---No. Even the ones that seem to be homework, perhaps they want to add other peoples's comments. Perhaps they are fishing for a different take on the question that could send them in a different direction in their research. ---Jim

No. Some questions are just questions for homework and questions the askers' already know and just for fun.
