Dawn (who plays guitar in our band), says yes, because they're inexpensive.

sorry, but ive never tried a Harmony guitar but inexpensive acoustic guitars are great starters. My only advice for now is do not start on an electric guitar, they can be complicated for beginners.

HAVE FUN!

A Harmony guitar is a very good beginning guitar. One of my favorite guitars was a little student classical guitar that my mom got for me when I was 13 from a pawn shop. Have fun and play your heart out!

Acoustic guitars are good for begs. because you can hear the notes more clearly and in order to use a harmony guitar you have to have something to harmonize with. It's better to learn the basics before accompaniments.

I would not recommend an Ibanez or a Squier. You can't go wrong with Gibson, Epiphone, ESP and Jackson. The reason why I wouldn't recommend the other two is because in order to get a good sounding Ibanez you have to pay alot. ESP if you are into metal and stuff. Its awesome. They can range from $300 and up. Definitely a great buy.
