The date exists, yes.

If you mean an independence day then it depends on the nation.

Yes. . .the fourth of July happens in Europe too. Do you mean does Europe celebrate Independence Day like in the US. . .sure the individual nations do--e.g. Bastille Day in France etc.

Of course the countries in Europe have Independence days which they celebrate. However, believe (cynically) that no one has ever reached liberty yet. There is still xenophobia, stereotypes, feelings of inferiority, economic conditions, etc. which do not make us all equal. We are all slaves of our jobs or schools and we are all influenced and controlled by a stupid elite. Thus, we are forced to believe in religions and of ethereal compensation that will never come (maybe). Independence days are to create patriotism and patriotism is a waste unless you want to sign up to the US navy. The communists tried equality for all but it is impossible because we are all too selfish...thus, may God help us!!

Good luck with your quest lucky one.

Europe in itself doesn't. But I guess you could call V-E day a Forth of July. When Germany finaly surrendered in 1945 all of Europe rejoyced. It was a day to remember
