When someone makes a corner kick - must the ball hit another player before the one who made the corner kick can touch the ball? Or is it possible for the corner kicker to just tap the ball in and then dribble toward the goal or pass?

NO, he can't pass to himself. It's in the rule book. just like throw ins. you have to let someone else make contact with the ball before you can handle it.

The corner kick taker has to let the ball touch another player before he can touch it again. Notice on the video replay here how Ronaldinho passes the ball to a teammate and his teammate passes the ball back to Ronaldinho, who shoots the ball toward Ghana's net. I'm pretty sure that if he could score a goal directly from the corner kick, he would not have passed the ball.

Nope... coz itz considered dead ball... eg goalkick, free kick, throw in... the person "reviving" the ball has to pass it to another guy b4 he can touch it again...
