Why do you put so much attention on race? They are adopting children. That is very positive. More people should adopt.

Kids are kids . . . they all need to be adopted. I would like to think that Angelina and Tom Cruise did it because they saw a child that they instantly loved and wanted to be apart of their family. Madonna on the other hand took a news crew with her so I think she wanted a little publicity. Also, she adopted a child from a country were adoption is illegal. So in the real world she bought a kid!

It's not a "trend" in Tom's case because he adopted his son [and daughter] years ago. And, seeing as Angelina adopted Maddox several years before [and he's Asian]. Then, what's wrong with adopting an African child next??
Africa is the most destitute continent. If they can adopt one kid there, well that's a good thing. It shows compassion.. something a lot of people lack.

A lot more adopt white kids, but that doesn't get press attention. Kinda like all the news is the traumatic stuff happening, how often do they cover people going to work or out for a meal ?
It is just the media focus.

Celebrities tend to adopt kids from impoverished backgrounds and since many of the worlds children who live in poverty are black, then this would be why they get adopted. They are adopted by need not colour.

Angelina did it because she already had a white kid on the way (Shiloh) and an Asian kid (Maddox), she wanted to cover all the bases (and get society off her back about being a homewrecker).
Madonna wanted publicity and Tom Cruise is just odd.
Celebrities already have piles of money and piles of useless diamond encrusted junk, why not buy a baby and donate so the government will go easy on their taxes?
