I think when people are rude that they are putting up some kind of front. A person doesn't know the answer, so he tries to make the person asking the question look bad.

They have insecurities that they would never admit to, so their rudeness is a disguise. Some people I went to high school with are still that way.

"Cool" and "Charisma" are close kin if not different words for the same thing..... In my opinion.
excerpt from link
"The word charisma (from the Greek word ??????? (kharisma), "gift" or "divine favor," from kharizesthai, "to favor," from kharis, "favor") refers to a rare trait found in certain human personalities usually including extreme charm and a "magnetic" quality of personality and/or appearance along with innate and powerfully sophisticated personal communicability and persuasiveness; in short, charisma is often used to describe a seemingly uncanny ability to charm or influence people. It refers especially to a quality in certain people who easily draw the attention and admiration (or even hatred if the charisma is negative) of others due to a "magnetic" quality of personality and/or appearance. Though the term as it stands is extremely difficult to define, other similar terms/phrases related to charisma include: grace, exuberance, equanimity, mystique, positive energy, joie de vivre, extreme charm, personal magnetism, personal appeal, "electricity," and allure, among many others[1]. Another term constantly used is the "X-factor." Usually many of these qualities must be present within a single individual for the person to be considered highly charismatic by the public and their peers."

Cool doesn't come from a pair of shades.
You got it or you don't.
Cool is not synonymous with ***hole.
And the people that we thought were cool in the sixties when I was coming up......
some of them are dead. Jay B hung himself in Bergen County Jail.
And some of them got hep C from shooting heroin in Billy R's room.

It's because they are lame and have no friends. so they try to act cool in order to be cool even though they are truly all around fake.

Because people never confront them and let them know just how uncool and rude they are .. if they get away with their whole lives, then why wouldn't they think they are cool ..

i used to wonder that as well, as they always seemed like such a sad lot, but i don't waste my time on them any more, rude people just plain suck, and i ignore them. they're the ones that have to live with themselves for the rest of their life, not me.

It's because they think that the only way they could only be cool if they are rude. I dunno. I think it's movies or TV shows that they watch that they watch. It's really retarded.
